If you are a new patient, we ask that you book an Initial Assessment for Physiotherapy or Massage Therapy. You will receive a separate email prior to your appointment with the required form(s) to fill out. Please complete these forms ahead of time to ensure your appointment time is focused on treatment. If you’re unable to complete the forms beforehand, we kindly ask that you arrive a few minutes early to fill them out before your session.

At Mill Bay Physiotherapy, we occasionally have a dog (golden retriever) in the clinic. We understand that some people may have allergies, sensitivities, or concerns about animals. If this is a concern for you, please let us know in advance, and we’ll happily make arrangements to ensure your visit is as comfortable as possible.

Jim has called the Cowichan Valley home for many years. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from Michigan, he gained diverse experience in rehabilitation, personal training, gym ownership, coaching, and becoming a certified Hanna Somatics practitioner. Most recently, Jim graduated from the highly respected West Coast College of Massage Therapy this past August.

With over 20 years of varied experience, Jim takes a holistic approach to health, wellness, and rehabilitation, crafting tailored treatment plans to help clients achieve their goals. Abby’s passion for movement began with her professional dance career, which started at her local studio, Adage, in Duncan, BC. At 18, she moved to Vancouver and studied in the Intensive Training Program at Harbour Dance Centre. Following her dream to Los Angeles, Abby trained at The Space TV in the Launch Training Program, where she had the privilege of working with renowned choreographers, instructors, and talented industry professionals.

An injury introduced her to Pilates, which healed her body and calmed her mind. This transformative practice sparked a new path. Certified in mat and STOTT Pilates Reformer, Abby combines her extensive dance training with Pilates expertise to guide athletes and individuals seeking holistic fitness. Her approach emphasizes fun, functional movement, empowering clients to unlock their full potential. Abby excels in one-on-one sessions, tailoring workouts to meet unique needs and goals.
